SPY555-FastAct_X

SPY555-FastAct™_X belongs to our most advanced live cell actin imaging probe generation. It labels highly dynamic actin filaments as well as the more static ones. SPY555-FastAct™_X is a bright, fluorogenic, non toxic, cell permeable and highly specific live cell probe for fluorescence imaging of actin. SPY555-FastAct_X can label very fast actin dynamics but lacks undesired F-actin stabilization side effects. It does not require any transfection and works just by adding the probe to the cells and perform imaging a couple of hours later.

Product contains 1 vial of SPY555-FastAct_X in lyophilised form allowing to prepare 50 ul of 1000x DMSO stock solution (100 stainings*).

Product Description

SPY555-FastAct_X is a bright, orange, fluorogenic & non toxic F-actin probe based on our SPY™ dyes series. Its optimized actin ligand was engineered to avoid F-actin stabilization and fast exchange1). This unique feature renders SPY555-FastAct_X non-toxic and minimally perturbing cellular actin processes. It is able to label highy dynamic actin, just like LifeAct™** but the probe does not require any genetic manipulation, transfection or overexpression of fluorescent proteins. SPY555-FastAct_X is based on a bright, low-phototoxic & photostable SPY555 fluorophore which is far superior than fluorescent proteins and STED compatible.

SPY555-FastAct_X enables multicolor imaging with SPY505, SPY595, SPY650, SPY700, SiR and GFP. SPY555-FastAct_X can be imaged with standard Cy3 filterset. It can be used for widefield, confocal, SIM or STED imaging of living cells and tissue. Probe quantity allows 100 staining experiments.*
