The FastAct™ family expands!
We are thrilled to introduce our newest actin probe SPY650-FastAct_X
SPY650-FasAct_X features an engineered actin ligand that lacks F-actin stabilization. It is therefore non cytotoxic and thanks to it’s reduced affinity to actin, exchanges and binds to actin very fast. Therefore, it reduces bleaching kinetics and enhances the speed at which newly polymerized actin is labeled.
SPY650-FasAct_X was developed in the group of Kai Johnsson under the name SiR-XActin and a preprint describing the probe performance in available online: https://doi.org/10.1101/2025.02.04.636537
